The Village of Morganza, established in 1908, is a community that is rich in family values and culture. The people of Morganza take pride in their historical roots. The Village of Morganza was named after the first American Sheriff of Pointe Coupee Parish, Colonel Charles Morgan. Several battles were fought here throughout the Civil War. The Village of Morganza is best known for the Morganza Spillway. It is also known for featured scenes in the movie "Easy Rider."
Monthly meetings will be held at city hall on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30p.m.

For new service the deposit for gas is $130 and the deposit for water is $50 for homeowners or $100 for rentals. To make payments on existing accounts you may come into the office, mail your payment to the Village of Morganza, or pay online at www.ThePaymentGroup.com .
Chief of Police, Mark Ramagos ensures that our community remains a safe and peaceful place to live. To pay a citation you may come into the office or mail your payment to the Village of Morganza.
The Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury provides these services. On the first working Monday of every month white goods will be picked up. This includes limbs, debris, and other household items that do not fit in garbage cans. If you have any questions you may reach the Pointe Coupee Parish Government at 225-638-9556.
